BIOS: அவ்ரீனா AVRINA (1992, Tamil Nadu) is a trans poet and fiction writer writing places, beings, and times. Obsessed with memories that pervade and evade, often of childhood, avrina’s writing is an ebb and flow characteristic of his desire for the sea. avrina’s story won the Short Fiction / University of Essex International Short Story Prize 2021 and works have been nominated, among others, for the CRAFT Short Fiction Prize, Indiana Review Fiction Prize, the Berlin Writing Prize, and the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize. avrina was a Literature Fellow of the city of Berlin in 2024. www.avrinajos.net. Divya Ghelani was born in Gujarat and grew up in Loughborough, Leicestershire. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, an MPhil in English Studies from the University of Hong Kong, and she is currently a PhD Scholar in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, where she is working on a critical thesis in literary ethics and a second novel. She lives in Mitte, Berlin and has published stories and articles in Wasafiri, Comma Press, BBC Radio 4, Litro Magazine, and more.
