Einfach Gendern: a group lesson on gender-neutral German

Learning German is hard – and so is unlearning the gender binary! Join Mercedes von Kulessa (sie/dey), a German teacher for a group lesson using the curriculum dey developed into a workbook, illustrated by Louie Läuger, that includes exercises on pronouns, grammar, family members, and clever ways to avoid gendered nouns. Her publisher Polar Embassy will provide drinks and vegan treats, and the workbook will be available for sale. Food and Thought Book Club

Difficult Women Book Club

Difficult Women Book Club is a book club for anyone who wants to discover books written by women and other FLINTA* authors. They are a global book club that started in Barcelona and now has chapters all over the world. 🌸Once a month, the Berlin chapter get together to dive into the world of literature, exploring both non-fiction and fiction! In January they’ve been reading “The vanishing Half” by Brit Bennetand and February’s book will be All about Love" by bell hooks.
