Books (and Things) old and new for 2026

As a new year starts we’re trying a few new things. If you’re here you’ve probably noticed a new website (Thanks Hammy!). Besides some info on us and where to find us, you’ve got a few questions and some answers to go with them. We’re about to add some info on events (those that were, those that are, and events that have not yet come to pass) and if you’re reading this then we have a blog!

Don’t worry, we’re under no misapprehension – we traffic in other peoples’ words and are happy and proud to continue to do so. So this blog will just be an occasional bit of info and context about who we are and what we are doing, a beacon of light for those searching for exceptional books in the seas of internet sludge or a digital lure to entice you to our (much cosier and better furnished) physical home.

To that end if you have any questions, comments, complaints or compliments please send them our way either digitally or, even better, over a coffee or tea in-store.
